Two toddlers and their grandfather died in an early morning fire in Pierre Part that also injured the
children's grandmother.

State Fire Marshall Butch Browning says investigators don't yet know what started the blaze that killed 61-year-old Michael G. Saucier, of Pierre Part, 2-year-old Jacob Saucier and 3-year-old
Ava Saucier.

Saucier's wife, Monica Saucier, was taken to Baton Rouge General Mid-City hospital with burns and trauma.

Browning says Monica Saucier got out of the second story of the residential camp. But the blaze was so intense that firefighters couldn't get into it when they arrived shortly before 1 a.m. Friday.

Browning says the fire spread to camps on either side by the time firefighters arrived.
