Picture day streak ends for teacher
DALLAS- A teacher's streak of wearing the same outfit for his school photo came to an end after 40 years because he retired. Dale Irby says it started as an accident. When he got his school photo after his second year of teaching he says he was embarrassed to find he'd worn the same polyester shirt and brown sweater vest as the first year. He wife dared him to wear it again the third year and the streak was on. He says, "After five pictures it was like, 'Why stop?'" Irby is 63 and retired from the Richardson district north of Dallas.
