BATON ROUGE - Sheriff's deputies said a bank on O'Neal Lane was robbed around noon Monday in East Baton Rouge Parish.

A sheriff's department spokesperson said a man went into the Chase Bank on O'Neal and passed the teller a note, which demanded money and claimed he had a weapon. Witnesses said a weapon was never shown.

The man left with the money he was given and fled south on O'Neal in a late-model Toyota Camry colored silver or gray, according to deputies. No one was hurt in the robbery.

Deputies released surveillance photos of the robber, saying he was 5'7" and weighing 180-190 pounds, wearing a black long-sleeve shirt with green short-sleeved shirt on top with a white splatter pattern, as well as a black hat with the Fox Motorcross symbol on it.

Anyone with information about the robbery or the man's identity should contact the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Department at (225) 389-5000.
