PGA Championship underway after heavy rains
PITTSFORD, N.Y. - Some dampness greeted the golfers teeing it up for the start of the 95th PGA Championship this morning in suburban Rochester, N.Y. Heavy overnight rains soaked the Oak Hill Country Club course, but the sun was out when the first of the 156-player field teed off.
Robert Garrigus and Canada's David Hearn are the on-course leaders at 4-under par through 13 holes.
That's good for a one-shot edge over David Toms.
Four-time champ Tiger Woods is 2-under through seven, after starting his round on the back nine. He birdied the par-5 13th hole and par-3 15th.
British Open champ Phil Mickelson tees off in the afternoon in a group with Masters champ Adam Scott and U.S. Open winner Justin Rose.
