Petty, Mannion among Senior Bowl passers trying to be No. 3
MOBILE, AL - The NFL draft's quarterback pecking order beyond Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota might not have gotten much clearer at the Senior Bowl.
Baylor's Bryce Petty and Oregon State's Sean Mannion were among those trying to lay claim to that position leading up to Saturday's game for top senior NFL prospects.
NFL Network analyst Charles Davis isn't sure if anyone was able to "distinguish himself as the third guy."
Winston and Mariota are projected as early first-round picks. Then there's the other guys, including those hoping to use the Senior Bowl to begin climbs up the draft boards.
The Senior Bowl quarterbacks all put up big numbers in college. Petty and Mannion are joined by Colorado State's Garrett Grayson, Alabama's Blake Sims, East Carolina's Sean Carden and Southeastern Louisiana's Bryan Bennett.
