Person in wheelchair reportedly struck by vehicle on Essen Lane dies from injuries
BATON ROUGE- Authorities say a man in a wheelchair was struck by a vehicle Sunday evening.
According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, the incident occurred around 6 p.m. in the 5000 block of Essen Lane.
The man struck was identified as 61-year-old Clay Barras. Authorities say Barras was attempting to cross Essen Lane in his wheelchair when he was struck by a 2010 Honda Accord.
The driver was not injured.
