People upset about $15 fine for parking on grass
BATON ROUGE- People are upset about a city law they believe should not be enforced.
A number of people on Jennifer Jean Drive said they were ticketed Friday morning for parking on the grass. They have to pay the $15 fine.
"I really just laughed out loud, because I thought they couldn't be serious," said Kathleen Neal.
Neal found the orange ticket on her windshield. She was shocked because she has parked her car there for years.
"That was the firs time I've ever heard of it," Neal said.
Police said a city ordinance forbids people from parking on the grass and officers do write tickets for the infraction.
