People still want news
WASHINGTON- Social media is helping Americans stay more informed than in previous years, researchers suggest.
A new poll by Media Insight Project finds most people say its easier to follow the news now than it was five years ago. Cell phones, tablets and computers help them follow events throughout the day, they said.
The poll found younger adults are more likely to follow up quicker when they hear about breaking news events. Older people say they are more likely to hear or seem some newscasts while younger people say they are also consumers of news, as well.
