People line up for latest iPhone release
BATON ROUGE - The wait is over for iPhone fans. Apple's newest version of the iPhone is released in stores and online Friday.
New records have been set for the tech giant. Apple says in one week they sold 4 million smart phones the first day they were available for pre-order.
In Baton Rouge, the excitement shows with a line outside the apple store at the Mall of Louisiana.
People have been camped out since Thursday evening waiting to get their hands on the latest models of the phone. There are two versions that are available for purchase, the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus.
The iPhones are also in high demand from mobile carriers, many of whom projected delivery dates stretching into October.
The operating system makeover is being hailed as Apple's biggest ever because it comes with a slew of new updates to popular apps, including messages, photos and the keyboard -- making your old device feel new again.
