A second ramp meter to Interstate 12 is operational at Airline Highway in Baton Rouge. That makes three of the 16.

Eventually the meters will start at Walker in the morning and end at Essen Lane in Baton Rouge in the afternoon. They’ll run from the Jefferson on-ramp to Range Avenue in Denham Springs.

As News 2’s Michael Shingleton found out, some people have trouble merging.
