Penalty phase for Colorado theater shooter begins Wednesday
CENTENNIAL, CO.- The penalty phase begins today in the trial of Colorado movie theater shooter James Holmes, who was convicted earlier this month of killing 12 people and wounding 70 others.
Jurors quickly rejected Holmes' claim that he was legally insane when he opened fire in Aurora, Colorado in July 2012.
Now they'll have to weigh the extent of his mental illness when deciding if he gets the death penalty.
