Pelicans take on Spurs tonight with playoff hopes on the line
The last of the two remaining NBA playoff spots will be determined tonight on the final day of the regular season.
In the Western Conference, New Orleans and Oklahoma City go into tonight's action tied for the eighth seed in the West. The Pelicans entertain streaking San Antonio, and are in if they beat the Spurs. But San Antonio has something to play for. The Spurs have won 11 in a row and still have a shot at the No. 2 seed in the West. But San Antonio could fall to as low as No. 6 in the West.
Meanwhile, the pressure is on for the Pelicans. If they lose, Oklahoma City can clinch the eighth seed with a win at Minnesota.
The Pacers can complete a season-long struggle to make it into the playoffs with a win on the road against Memphis tonight. That would clinch the eighth-seed in the East. Indiana has won six in a row. The Grizzlies are looking to wrap up the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference.
Should Indiana lose, that would open the door for Brooklyn to clinch with a win at Minnesota.
