BATON ROUGE - One person is in the hospital this morning, after being struck by a vehicle early Friday.

Police found the 21-year-old victim lying in the road in the 4400 block of Nicholson Drive, around 3:30 a.m.

He is said to have suffered life-threatening injuries. His name has not been released.

Officials believe the victim was walking northbound when he was struck in the left lane.

Police did not arrest the driver of the car.

The crash is still under investigation.
