Pawn shop employee shot during theft
BATON ROUGE - Police said a pawn shop worker was shot in the leg during a theft in Baton Rouge Monday afternoon.
Investigators said two people went into City Pawn No. 2 on Airline Highway to look at some items just before 2 p.m., but instead grabbed the items and ran.
Police said a store worker chased after them. One of the thieves shot at the employee, hitting them in the leg according to investigators.
The worker's injuries weren't life-threatening according to BRPD.
