The Baton Rouge native fired a 1-under 69 on Friday, and is tied for first with Jordan Spieth (-5) at the 115th US Open.
Reed shot 4-under on Thursday, and followed it up with 5 birdies, 6 bogeys and an eagle at the par 4 12th on Friday.
