Advancing Saturday's column and the Wiatomo Caves in New Zealand where glowworms cover the domes, providing unique illuminations.Diane Dodson forwarded a note sharing her daughter's experience with lovebugs. As a Gonzales resident for over 30 years, Diane experiences the seasonal trend regarding lovebugs. She accurately predicts their arrival in late Spring, before the increasing heat and their return prior to our September cool-down. Diane also notes September 23, 1982 as the coldest day in her memory. She reported to the maternity ward with a sleeveless maternity blouse, shorts and diapers for the new arrival. Her husband re-delivered long sleeves and blankets as the doctors delivered their baby girl.
