Expect conditions similar to Monday with some isolated showers possible. A few of us should hit 90 with warm and muggy conditions. Some thunderstorms along the coast could also push inland thanks to the seabreeze.
THE WEEK AHEAD
An area of high pressure is building in the southeast. It isn't directly over us, so while it will help suppress thunderstorm activity, it won't completely inhibit the chance of an isolated thunderstorm sometime this week. It will certainly maintain the warm temperatures and humidity as the clockwise flow around high pushes the warm, moist air in our direction. The best chance of rain looking like Monday and Tuesday. Again, as we close in on summer, you just can't rule out a stray shower. Temperatures will be near normal levels. Basically, typical Louisiana summer forecast is exactly what we have over the next seven days so get ready for it as summer officialyl starts on Saturday.TROPICS
The tropics are quiet and we are not expecting any development within the next 48 hours.
