After we had some of the coldest temperatures of the season this weekend, we will become much warmer today. This morning we are starting out with clear skies and temperatures in the 40s. The temperatures hit their lows earlier this morning and will be rising as the winds come out of the south.
The high pressure that was sitting over us yesterday has moved to the east of Louisiana. This shifted the winds from the north to the south and they are pumping in the warm air from the Gulf. This will cause it to be much warmer and breezy this afternoon with partly cloudy skies. High temperatures will be in the lower 70s. The winds will be around 15 to 20 mph with higher gusts, so make sure you hold onto your hats!!
It will not be as cold tonight with mostly cloudy skies and breezy conditions. Low temperatures will be in the upper 50s.
