The cold front is now located off to the east of Louisiana. The clouds have decreased and we have a mostly clear to partly cloudy start to the day. It has turned cooler too with temperatures in the 40s. You may want to take that jacket with you today.
An area of high pressure will briefly sit over us today and that will give us mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. Cooler and breezy westerly winds will keep the temperatures down this afternoon. Winds will be out of the west at 10 to 20 mph with higher gusts. Highs will only be in the lower 60s and some of you will not get out of the upper 50s.
Expect mostly clear skies tonight and it will be chilly. Fortunately, the winds will not be a breezy, so it will not feel too cold. Low temperatures will be in the lower 40s. Needless to say, it will still be jacket weather.
