BATON ROUGE – Part of Scenic Highway in East Baton Rouge Parish will be closed until 5 p.m. Thursday for railroad track repairs.

Officials say construction is happening near the railroad tracks parallel with Choctaw Drive. Drivers should detour to Plank and Chippewa Streets to avoid the road closure.

DOTD said drivers should also use caution and be on the lookout for work crews and equipment around the construction site.
