Parkview Baptist scored 21 first quarter points en route to a 49-0 blanking of Christian Life.
Garrett Banta was impressive for a second straight week. In the Eagles' jamboree last week, Banta caught a dump-off pass from quarterback Jake Clouatre for a touchdown. This week it was more of the same. Banta caught a 25 yard TD pass from Clouatre with the Eagles up 14-0 to increase the lead to 21-0. The second quarter was more of the same when Banta took a pitch and ran 65 yards for yet another touchdown.
Parkview Baptist went to the state championship game last season before losing to Notre Dame-Crowley. A 1-0 start could be exactly what the Eagles need to get back to the Superdome.
