Parking spot argument leads to dog's death
NEWARK, NEW JERSEY- A woman admits she killed her neighbor's dog by throwing it into traffic in an argument over a parking spot.
Haniyyah Barnes pleaded guilty to burglarizing her neighbor's house, animal cruelty and theft.
Barnes says she broke into the house, grabbed a two-year-old Shih Tzu named Honey Bey and threw the dog into traffic where it was struck by a car and killed.
Prosecutors will recommended she get a six-year prison term and pay $2,500 in restitution. Plus, she would be barred from owning, buying or living with animals for ten years.
