Perkins Road Park will reopen this weekend after years of renovations and additions, and people may be surprised at what’s there.

The Velodrome was built in 1985. Since then, a BMX bike track and tennis courts were added.

Saturday, BREC will unveil an updated BMX track, a new skate park and a rock climbing wall. A boulder that’s part of that rock wall was donated by parents who lost their son to a car crash four years ago.
