BATON ROUGE - The parents of the six-year-old-boy killed by a hit-and-run driver are asking that person to surrender to police.
Kaleb Shavers was found on Highway 190 near Highway 415, nearly two miles away from where he disappeared.
Shavers and his mother were at at party in Port Allen when investigators said the six-year-old wondered away from the party. He was found hours later on side of the road.
Right now police say they have very little information to go on. The Shavers are pleading for the public's help.
"We're not saying it was intentionally... we don't know. Just come forward, that was our child," said Lillian Shavers.
Funeral services for Kaleb Shavers are Thursday at 10 a.m at Winfield Funeral Home on Plank Road. The family is asking in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Kaleb Joshua Shavers Fund at any Capital One Bank.
