Panda dental work
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA- It's tough to chew bamboo with a chipped tooth and Bai Yun, the giant female panda at the San Diego Zoo had to have some dental work done.
She chipped a lower tooth and since she likes to chew bamboo 12 hours a day, zoo-keepers had to do something.
She went to the dentist, got a shot to numb her jaw and the chipped tooth was repaired, along with some tooth cleaning and X-rays.
The LA Times reports the tooth was repaired with some dental composite.
