Overturned semi snarls traffic on I-10; lane reopened
GRAMERCY – A box truck overturned and blocked traffic for hours between LaPlace and Baton Rouge Tuesday morning.
Delays reached about two miles, although drivers were slowing around LaPlace.
A picture posted to the State Police Facebook page showed the semi on its side, blocking at least one lane. The cab was smashed.
Slowly, traffic was able to pass through the left lane.
Around noon, the lane reopened and the crash was cleared.
The crash was in St. James Parish.
Information about the condition of the driver or what happened was not released.
