Oversize load to slow traffic on the Westside for the next week
PLAQUEMINE- Westside drivers are in for some delays due to wide loads being moved through Plaquemine for the next week.
Oversized vessels will be transported from a shipyard across from the Iberville Parish Multipurpose Center on Bayou Road the Shintech Plaquemine facility off Highway 1 south of the city. Transports will begin at 9 a.m. and will come with temporary lane closures. The first transit happens Wednesday.
Oversized hauls will happen everyday from Wednesday, October 26 through Thursday, November 3.
