BATON ROUGE - A police car crashed at the end of a police chase overnight.

Police said a small car was seen speeding on the interstate near Washington Street around 11 o'clock.  When officers attempted to stop the driver, the driver tried to flee by driving faster.  

Police released some information Saturday morning - reporting that the driver of the car, an unidentified woman, was arrested on Perkins Road.  Also on Perkins Road, a police car crashed "as a result of the incident," police said.

It appears officers chased the woman from the interstate onto Perkins where a crash happened near Acadian.
