BATON ROUGE - Fire officials have identified the man found dead inside an apartment building Thursday morning in Baton Rouge.

Firefighters responded to a fire at the Brandywine Apartment on Darryl Drive around 2:30 A.M.

The victim was found once the flames were contained. Coroners later identified the man as Joshua Ravencraft, 38, and said his death was accidental due to carbon monoxide exposure from the fire.

Officials say the apartment building was supposed to be vacant. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
