Outrage over mandatory child visitation
A father was ordered to take his two children cross-country from California to visit their mother who's in prison for killing a man in Iowa. A judge ordered Michael Roberts to take the kids to see Tracey Richter in prison while she appeals her conviction. The judge says the children have a bond with their mother and the visits will "bring closure to the sudden and traumatic events of the past year." A prosecutor expressed outrage and says its "mind-boggling" Richter still has parental rights since she shot a man while the kids were one room away. She claims she shot Dustin Wehde in self-defense.
