Outdoors Report: Froggin in Bayou Black
This week John Jackson takes us into Black Bayou in Houma to test a little hand - eye coordination and see if the hand is quicker than the frog!
What can make a grown man act like a child. Ok ladies before you send me a list of 25 things I will just give the answer nats of frog catching fun.
Its the last night of the spring Bullfrog season and we are out with Capt. Bryce Michel of Topwater Charters.
Bullfrog hunting is not a lost art, but the guys that do it keep it quiet. Well until they invited me anyway!
But if you would like to try Capt. Bryce does offer BullFrog hunts as a chartered trip.
You can catch Bullfrog every month of the year except April and May due to the Frog Spawn.
There are no limits on private leases but on public waters the frog has to measure 5 inches from nose to tail. Other than that you can take a frog with hand or gig but no firearms allowed all it takes is a good light and a quick hand to land one of the tastiest delicacies of the marsh! John Jackson Ch2 Outdoors.
John will have more this Saturday morning about Froggin on Out Da Bayou 6:30am right here on Ch.2
