NEW ORLEANS - One of the people no longer part of a New Orleans area flood protection board says he'll keep working on support for a controversial lawsuit against oil and gas companies.
Author and historian John Barry was one of three members of the Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority-East board replaced by Governor Jindal yesterday.
All three supported the lawsuit against 97 oil, gas and pipeline companies for alleged damages to the Louisiana coast.
Barry's term was expired and the governor passed him over for re-appointment.
He says he'll work with an independent group in support of the lawsuit.
