PHOENIX, Arizona- One person has pleaded guilty in connection with a coupon website that some in the Capital City area call a scam.

Savvyshoppersite.com was busted by investigators after a WBRZ News2 Investigation in March. People said they paid for coupons on the site, but couldn't use them because stores quit accepting them.

After the story, police in Arizona raided the website. Three women were arrested: Robin Ramirez, who used an alias on the site and in interviews with WBRZ, and Amiko Fountain along with Marilyn Johnson.

A few months ago, authorities confiscated about $25 million in coupons, luxury cars, guns and expensive boats from the homes of the website founders. The estimated economic loss of this case is in the hundreds of millions of dollars.

Thursday, Johnson pleaded guilty to counterfeiting.

Fountain is expected to plead guilty next week.

Ramirez, the alleged ringleader, goes before a judge in December.
