BAKER - Authorities have arrested one person so far after a woman was shot in the leg with a flare gun during an attempted robbery in Baker.

Chief Mike Knaps with Baker Police said this morning a woman was walking on a pathway between the Wendy's and Walmart when two men approached her and demanded her purse. When she refused Knaps said one of the men shot her in the leg before they took off empty-handed.

After a search of the area police arrested they man they believe fired the flare gun, and are coninuing to search for the second.

Knaps said they both face "severe" charges.
