One lane of Government St. to be closed Tuesday morning
BATON ROUGE - Traffic officials announced Monday afternoon the outside eastbound lane of Government Street will be closed for one to two hours under the Interstate 110 overpass beginning at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
According to LADOTD, the closure is required so that workers can take soil samples beneath the heavily trafficked street's pavement. North Boulevard and Florida Street are recommended alternate routes for motorists who cannot avoid the area during the lane closure period.
