BATON ROUGE - Police are investigating a deadly shooting and crash in Baton Rouge this evening.

It happened near McCleland and Hollywood around 5 p.m. Authorities on the scene confirmed one person in a wrecked vehicle was dead.

Cpl. L'Jean McKneely said the victim was shot in a parking lot located just up the street at 5701 Hollywood, then sped away through a grassy field before wrecking at Hollywood and McClelland.
