WBRZ - Baton Rouge

CENTRAL - One person was hurt during efforts to put out a house fire last night in Central.

Firefighters called to the scene at 2:30 a.m. said the entire house was in flames when they arrived.

One firefighter had to be treated for heat exhaustion at the scene.

Residents were home when the fire occurred. The total loss of the fire was $80,000.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
