One detained after chain-reaction wreck
BATON ROUGE - Police detained one driver to be tested for alcohol after a chain-reaction wreck on a busy Baton Rouge street Friday.
The wreck happened on Lee Road near the intersection with Highland Road, just south of the LSU campus.
Cpl. L'Jean McKneely said it started with a rear-end collision, and three people were sent to the hospital with moderate injuries. Firefighters also had to help remove at least one person from their vehicle.
McKneely said they detained one driver, and would test him to see what his blood alcohol level was at the time of the wreck.
