One dead, three injured in crash on US 190 in Walker
WALKER – Police in Walker are investigating a two-vehicle crash that left one dead and three injured Sunday afternoon.
According to Walker Police, the crash happened around 3:30 p.m. on US 190 near the intersection of North Corbin Road. According to Walker Police, a pickup truck going traveling eastbound, driven by 44-year-old Robert Kelly, traveled to the westbound shoulder, then pulled back on to the roadway. As a result, Kelly's truck hit another truck that was traveling westbound head on.
46-year-old Shelly Lynn Foster Kelly was also in the truck with Kelly at the time of the crash and both were taken to a local hospital with moderate injuries. It is not clear if the two are related.
The truck that was going westbound was driven by 29-year-old Chase Lanoux, who also suffered moderate injuries. Lanoux's passenger, 29-year-old Nikki Renee Lambert, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Captain John Sharp said that Lambert was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, however all others involved were.
US 190 was closed for about two and a half hours after the crash.
