One dead in Iroquois shooting
BATON ROUGE - Police shut down a Baton Rouge street after a deadly shooting this afternoon on the city's north side.
It happened at the corner of 38th and Iroquois around 3:50 p.m.
Authorities at the scene said one male was dead, and 38th Street was shut down between Chippewa and Seneca while they searched for the shooter. Police said it could be shut down for a couple of hours.

Baton Rouge Police identified Elijah Stevenson, 21 of 3821 Maywood Street, as the victim of the fatal shooting which occurred on 10-18-13.
Steveson, while walking down Iroquois Street with an acquaintance, left a dice game and was approached from behind by a black male subject on a bike known as KJ. KJ was also at the dice game. K J then pulled a pistol from his waist band and fired shots at STEVENSON. STEVENSON died from multiple gun shot wounds.
Investigators are attempting to learn the identity of K J.
