Driver killed after hitting pole
BATON ROUGE - Sheriff's deputies said a man killed in a wreck this morning in East Baton Rouge was driving at a high rate of speed before the crash.
Investigators said Brian Richoux, 20, was driving north on Millerville Road when he hit a signal light pole at the intersection of Old Hammond Hwy just after 4 a.m.
Richoux was pronounced dead at the scene. Deputies said witnesses told them the vehicle was going fast and swerving before it wrecked.
Deputies are still investigating the wreck.
