BATON ROUGE – Baton Rouge Police detectives are investigating a shooting that left one man dead outside of a club on North Foster Drive.

The shooting occurred on Sunday around 1:45 a.m. outside of The Executive Club in the 2000 block of North Foster Drive. 30-year-old Christopher Edwards died on scene from gunshot wounds to his torso.

A 35-year-old woman was also struck and was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators believe that the shooting was a result of an argument between Edwards and others at the club.
