Woman dead after fire at Baton Rouge apartment complex
BATON ROUGE - One person is dead after a fire at a local apartment complex Wednesday night.
The fire was reported around 5 p.m. in the 8300 block of Governor Drive. The St. George Fire Department confirmed that a woman was found unconscious at the scene. Firefighters performed CPR on the victim until EMS arrived, however she was later pronounced dead.
Authorities have identified the victim as 45-year-old Angela Crochet.
St. George Fire and the State Fire Marshal are both investigating the fire.
