Eight co-workers from the Office of Motor Vehicles in Baton Rouge hit the jackpot. They won more than $600,000 by playing the lottery.
Tiffany Allen of Brusly says she and other members of the group started contributing $2 to their lottery fund twice a week in September.
Last Wednesday, they scored the winning numbers.
After hearing the news, Allen said, "I jumped out of my car and ran around it screaming and hollering. Then I got back in the car and called one of my other coworkers to make sure this was real."
The group took home $481,000 after taxes. Each member gets about $60,000.
