Ken Feinberg, the man who is heading up the Gulf oil spill compensation program, told Congress that some of the claims he will have to decide will involve some tough calls. Feinberg testified in front of lawmakers in the House Small Business Committee today.
Rep. Vern Buchanan, R-FL, told Feinberg he is worried about hotels and restaurants on the coast that may have not been directly hit by oil but are suffering a loss of tourism. Feinberg promised to get an answer on that type of claim within weeks.
