TOLEDO, Ohio - Six bulldog-mix puppies that were stuffed into a suitcase and discovered next to a trash bin in Ohio aren't going to have trouble finding a new home.
An animal shelter in Toledo says they've received hundreds of calls from people who want to adopt the 4-week-old pups. Some even say they're willing to camp out just to be first in line.
The shelter's director says the puppies are doing just fine at a foster home right now. It will be about four weeks before they are ready for adoption.
The man accused of abandoning the pups appeared in court Friday where he pleaded not guilty to abandoning the animals.
Authorities say a luggage tag with his contact information on the suitcase led them to him.
