Officials investigating "suspicious fire"
BATON ROUGE - Fire investigators are trying to determine what caused a blaze that destroyed a Baton Rouge home late Wednesday night.
The Baton Rouge Fire Department responded to the call in the 2200 block of Kentucky St. in Baton Rouge just after 11 p.m. Investigators have determined that it started in the laundry room before the flames and smoke spread to the rest of the home. They do belive that the fire is "suspicious in nature".
BRFD says enough damage was caused to consider the home a "total loss".
