Officials investigate inmate-visitor sex at Angola
More than 100 people have been questioned concerning allegations that some state penitentiary employees were "paid to turn their back" while inmates had sexual relations with visiting wives and girlfriends.
West Feliciana Parish Sheriff J. Austin Daniel says two employees resigned to avoid disciplinary action, one correctional officer has been disciplined and two other officers are still under investigation.
Daniel met with Louisiana State Penitentiary officials who said they have additional people to question before the results of their internal investigation are submitted for possible prosecution.
No one has been arrested in the investigation, and no names of suspects were released after the meeting.
