1 officer released from OLOL; 1 remains in critical condition

BATON ROUGE – One officer injured in Sunday's shooting on Airline Highway has been released from the hospital.

A sheriff's deputy remains in critical condition at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, according to a news release from the hospital.

Another deputy is in fair condition at Baton Rouge General Medical Center.

The sheriff's office has identified the critically-wounded officer as Nicholas Tullier, 41, and the other injured deputy as Bruce Simmons, 51. Simmons will undergo surgery on his shoulder later on Monday.

The officer released Monday from Our Lady of the Lake has not been identified.
 
East Baton Rouge Sheriff Office's Deputy Brad Garafola, BRPD Officer Matthew Gerald and BRPD Officer Montrell Jackson died as result of the police ambush.

Coroner Beau Clark says the results of the autopsies of those killed are expected to be released Monday afternoon.
