Odell Beckham Jr. catch captivates the country
NEW YORK - New York Giants rookie wide receiver and former LSU Tiger Odell Beckham Jr. put his talent on display during the second quarter of the Giants Sunday night game against the Dallas Cowboys.
Beckham, tightly defended by Cowboys cornerback Brandon Carr, sprinted toward the Giants' end zone and used one hand to snag a 50 yard bomb from QB Eli Manning. As he made the sprawling catch, Beckham landed in the end zone, and video of the catch quickly took social media by storm.
The wideout's fingertip catch may go down as one of the greatest grabs in NFL history, but when asked about the play, Beckham simply said he hopes he can make more catches as his professional career progresses.
Whether or not the play goes down in history as one of the most immaculate receptions, the former LSU player has certainly caught the attention of the nation and will surely have fans talking for a long time coming.
